Belgrade, June 30, 2016 – Today, CRH Serbia and B92 Fund signed a Donation Agreement on providing the maternity ward in Paraćin with necessary equipment. The Agreement was signed by the General Manager of CRH Serbia, Frederic Aubet and Veran Matić, director of the B92 Fund.

CRH Serbia joined the B92 Fund campaign  “Battle for the Babies – Battle for Maternity Wards”, whose aim is to improve the conditions in healthcare institutions intended for the newborn care in Serbia.

Total value of donation, which is almost EUR 50,000, will be used to provide the following equipment: two labour tables, two reanimation tables, a gynecological examination table, two patient monitors, a bilirubinometer and  a LED lamp.

Considering the fact that the building was fully reconstructed last year thanks to the donation of the “Dragica Nikolić” Fund, it is expected that the maternity ward in Paraćin, equipped with the new medical equipment, will become one of the most modern maternity wards in Serbia.

On this occasion, Frederic Aubet, CRH Serbia General Manager, said : ” All companies must be aware of the responsible role they have in the creation of a positive influence in the community in which they operate. Taking care about maternity wards and child  care is the most significant and most important to our employees, especially due to the fact that many of them have started thier own families recently. The aim of the Campaign  “Battle for the Babies – Battle for Maternity Wards” is an important component of  sustainably responsible operations which is highly regarded at CRH Serbia. In this respect, we are really glad to be able to increase the level of infant care which will be provided to little patients in the Maternity Ward in Paraćin”.

The equipment will be delivered to the Maternity Ward by the end of the year and followed by a special ceremony which will be held mid-December 2016.
